Sharing your recordings
Sharing With Sense Scotland Team Members
To share your videos with other members of your Team you can do so by adding the video to a shared Group and/or Channel. All Teams sites have a corresponding Stream Group.
To do this, open Stream > My Content > Meetings and then select the video you wish to share. Click on it
Click on the ellipses and select Add to group/channels
Now set your search criteria to Channel and search for the OGL channel of choice
When finished click on SAVE. Your video will now be available to all other team members.
Each team member can add videos in this way.
Sharing With External Guests
At the moment Microsoft doesn’t allow you to share a video outside of your organisation directly within Stream – but this functionality is due to arrive later this year. (https://teams.handsontek.net/2020/04/19/share-meeting-recordings-external-users/).
So, to share your video you will need to download it and then save it to your OneDrive folder.
From the Meetings page, click on the more actions links next to your chosen recording.
Then select the Download Video option
Within OneDrive create anew folder to store your video and then upload the video from your local machine.
Next, select your video and choose Share
From here you can choose to enter the recipients email address directly along with a message or you can copy the link and create your own email message within MS Outlook.
Your recipient will receive an email with the link to view the recording.
When they click on the OPEN link they will be taken to a page where they have to request a validation code that will be sent to their email address
They will then receive their code…
That they can enter in the code field before selecting VERIFY.
They will then be taken to your recording
