Sending a meeting invitation to Bcc'd guests
If you wish to set up a meeting but keep the identities of your guests hidden the best method is to create a new Teams meeting (within Teams or within Outlook) leaving the REQUIRED attendee list empty (or adding invited Sense Scotland staff members). Once your meeting has been set up click on SEND to save it.
You then need to find the meeting and copy its link.
The easiest way to find the link after setting up the Teams Meeting is to go to the calendar section of your Outlook app and locate the meeting in question.
Open this meeting to show the full meeting summary page...
You can then highlight and copy the text that states "Join Microsoft Team Meeting" and paste this in to the email you intend to send to your invited guests.
I have tested this by sending an email invitation to myself with a GMAIL account Bcc'd. The email contained the copied link as can be seen below.
When I then clicked on the link from within my personal GMAIL account I was taken to the following page
Clicking on the Join on the web instead option took the person to the meeting login page as a guest.
The meeting host/organiser can log in to the meeting. Once logged in they will be able to view the lobby and admit their guests.
Once in you can see both yourself and and your guest(s) in the meeting.
