Installing Ricoh Printers Manually
NOTE: You will need the IP address of the printer before starting. To collect this, please follow the steps below at the printer;
- Press the square key on the bottom right of the screen
- Press Settings, then Machine Features Settings
- Then select Printer Settings, then select Configuration page.
- Press Exit to return to the screen to normal.
- On the Config page half way down in Host Interface, you will see the IP address for the printer e.g. IPV4 IP address 172.001.055.005. Usually on the right hand column.
(You would re-enter this on the driver as 172.1.55.5 – the zeros before the number are not entered).

- Select the correct Operating System from the list provided
- Click on the Download Arrow for the driver for PCL5c or PCL6, NOT UNIVERSAL PRINT

Save the file to the desktop (easier to find)
- Once downloaded double click the file and select Run,
- Select Next on the new dialogue box and choose the I accept the agreement radio circle
- Select Next and now select Browse – you are now extracting the files, save these to your Desktop (again just to make it easy to find)
You should now have a new folder on your desktop named the same as the original file downloaded.
- Go into the Start Menu of the PC and search for Control Panel
- Select Devices and Printers
- In the new window select Add a Printer
- Choose The Printer That I Want isn’t Listed
- Select Add a local printer or network printer with manual settings
- Select Create a new port, and select Standard TCP/IP Port from drop down menu
- Type in the printers IP address into the Hostname or IP address section.

Untick the Query the print… and select Next
- Once the machine has stopped doing its search, select the Have Disk option
- Select Browse and then select the Desktop
- Select the folder we created earlier by unzipping the file, keep double clicking on each option presented until you find the OEMSETUP file
- Select Open and then OK
- Choose your model and click Next
- There is no need in changing the default name so Next again
You will now have an installing printer dialogue box, let this complete and it will disappear and your driver is now installed.
- Right Click on the new icon created in the Devices and Printers window and go to Printer Properties,
- You will land in to the General tab and click on Print Test Page good luck!
- You now need to configure the rest of the driver.
- While in the Properties window select the accessories tab and select Update Now – this should pull through the settings from the machine, shown in the picture
- Select the paper size settings tab and again select Update
- Select Apply and OK
You are now finished – the downloaded file and the folder can be deleted at this time they are no longer needed.
